School Bus Crash on Columbia Way
LANCASTER, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2024) — A fatal crash involving a school bus happened Friday morning on Columbia Way between 20th Street and 15th Street West in Lancaster.
The collision occurred near 1727 W. Columbia Way at 7:06 a.m. on Sept. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the crash that was blocking all traffic lanes, but there are no further details at this time.
The Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Office responded and closed down the roadway due to the crash.
Paramedics confirmed at least one person dead on scene, but there are no further details at this time. It’s unknown if there were any school children aboard the bus.
The case remains under investigation to determine liability for the bus crash on Columbia Way.
