2 Women, 2 Children Killed in Crash with Big Rig Truck in Lancaster
LANCASTER, Calif. (June 4, 2021) – Two women and two children died Friday morning in a head-on Lancaster crash between a big rig truck and a car.
Meanwhile, a third child survived with undisclosed injuries and remains hospitalized.
The driver of a black Dodge Challenger occupied by two women and three children collided with a big rig truck.
The crash happened at 9:11 a.m. at the intersection of East Avenue G and North 30th Street East, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Authorities stated that one woman died at the scene of the crash. Paramedics transported three children and one woman to hospitals in critical condition.
Fatal Lancaster Crash at Avenue G and 30th Street
Two of the children and the woman later died at the hospital. None of the victims were identified, but police say the children who died were both boys with one about 10 or 11 years old and the other about 7 to 9 years old.
The surviving third child is about 5 years old and remains in the hospital.
Police issued a SigAlert at 10:40 a.m. for Avenue G between 30th Street East and 20th Street East.
The crash was being investigated by CHP’s Lancaster office.
