Driver Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash in Lancaster
LANCASTER, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2023) – A fatal crash happened Monday night at Challenger Way and Avenue H-4 in Lancaster.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 25th in Lancaster, according to a report by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station.
Authorities investigating the crash scene determined the driver of the sedan was traveling northbound on Challenger Way. Kannon Pandy, 19, of Lancaster, was behind the wheel of the car when he allegedly made a U-turn into the path of a southbound SUV and was T-boned, according to a report by MyNewsLA.
However, the driver of the car was not wearing a seat belt and suffered major injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as Kannon Pandy.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV sustained non-life threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital.
There were no passengers in either of the vehicles.
Investigators are working to determine if speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
