Man Fatally Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle in Lancaster
LANCASTER, Calif. (June 30, 2022) – A fatal Lancaster pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver happened Saturday night on Avenue I, according to police officials.
A man died in the crash at 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, June 25th, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‘s Lancaster station
Additionally, the vehicle involved is described as one similar to a Honda or Nissan, police reported.
Authorities say the pedestrian was crossing Avenue I near Seventh Street East. The victim was walking outside of a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision with an eastbound motorist.
Also, the driver in the vehicle apparently fled the scene. Paramedics responded and transported the injured pedestrian to Antelope Valley Medical Center. He later died from his injuries at the hospital following the fatal Lancaster pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, an investigation is underway by the sheriff’s Lancaster station. Witnesses may call them at 661-948-8466.
