Lancaster Man Killed in Memorial Day Crash is Identified
LANCASTER, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2022) – Norvell Frierson, 42, of Lancaster, died and his passenger was injured in a solo-vehicle rollover crash on Memorial Day at 20th Street West and Avenue H.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the driver on its website.
The crash happened about 1:27 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 5th at the Lancaster intersection, according to a report by the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
Apparently, the driver and passenger were traveling northbound on 20th Street West. The paved road ended and transitioned into a dirt roadway where the motorist lost control.
The driver identified as Norvell Frierson died at the scene, police said. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the injured passenger to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. There are no specific details about the passenger including age or gender.
Also, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the deadly crash.
