Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run in Leimert Park Area; Motorist Sought
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 9, 2021) — A fatal Leimert Park hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened early Monday at Crenshaw Boulevard and 39th Street.
The pedestrian died on scene after the 3 a.m. collision and the involved driver fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Shortly after the deadly crash, the suspect surrendered to authorities, police said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will identified the victim who died after relatives are notified of the person’s death.
Meanwhile, there are no further details about the collision.
However, investigators would like witnesses to call them at 877-LAPD-247.
