Fatal Livermore Crash Interstate 580 Freeway, Isabel Avenue

Man Dies in Rollover Crash

LIVERMORE, Calif. (July 17, 2023) — One person died in a rollover crash in Livermore on the Interstate 580 Freeway near the Isabel Avenue East off ramp.

The solo-vehicle collision occurred around 5:32 p.m. on Sunday, July 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A black and yellow Ford Mustang sedan occupied by three people was traveling westbound on the I-580 Freeway. A witness told authorities the motorist was allegedly driving recklessly prior to the crashed. The car overturned onto its roof.

One man was ejected and found in the No. 1 lane behind the overturned vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries at the scene. A second person was reportedly walking to the right shoulder and was bleeding. Paramedics responded to the scene to help those hurt.

Investigators are piecing together evidence and statements from witnesses. The case remains under investigation.
