Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Artesia (91) Freeway
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2022) — A motorcycle rider died in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning on the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway, just west of Cherry Avenue.
The collision occurred about 9:23 a.m. on Oct. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol 911 dispatch.
The rider went down in the HOV lane and the bike blocked the No. 1 lane. There are no further details about the second motorist involved in the crash.
Meanwhile, Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded to help the injured rider, but sadly the person died at the scene.
Additionally, police issued a SigAlert for roughly two hours due to the crash and investigation.
The CHP is heading up the investigation into liability for the fatal Long Beach motorcycle accident.
