Fatal Long Beach Pedestrian Accident Atherton Street and Ashbrook Avenue
Man Fatally Injured in Long Beach Collision
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Feb. 28, 2025) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened Friday in Long Beach at Atherton Street and Ashbrook Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The driver of an eastbound 2012 Honda Crosstour struck the victim at around 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26th, 2025, the LAPD report said.
Police reported the pedestrian was walking in a southbound direction in an unmarked crosswalk when the crash occurred.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured man to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
The 21-year-old driver from Los Angeles stopped and cooperated with police.
