Long Beach Police Seek Help Solving Fatal Hit And Run

 Fatal Long Beach Pedestrian Hit-and-run Crash Seventh St., Dawson AveLONG BEACH, Calif. (August 13, 2021) –  A fatal Long Beach pedestrian hit-and-run crash happened Thursday at Seventh Street and Dawson Avenue.

Now police are seeking the public’s help to find both motorists involved in the deadly collision.

Two drivers struck the woman about 8:35 p.m. on Thursday, August 12th. Paramedics responded to Seventh Street and Dawson Avenue where they found the badly-injured woman in the roadway. They transported her to a hospital where she later died, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Her name will be released after notification of her relatives.

Authorities say the pedestrian was walking northbound across Seventh Street in the east unmarked crosswalk.

A driver in a white Toyota pickup truck struck her as it headed eastbound on Seventh Street,” police said. The truck driver continued driving without stopping to help the victim, police said.

Next, a blue sport utility vehicle ran over the pedestrian and also fled the scene.
