3 Killed in Crash on Highway 152
LOS BANOS, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2023) – Three people were killed and one injured Tuesday near Los Banos in a rollover crash on Highway 152.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 4 p.m. on Feb. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Long Beach man driving a Mercedes was heading eastbound on Highway 152, just west of Hilldale Road, according to a report by YourCentralValley.
Meanwhile, a driver in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Toyota Highlander were both traveling beside each other and heading westbound on Highway 152.
Apparently, the Mercedes driver lost control of his vehicle and drove across Highway 152 into the path of the pickup truck and landed directly on top of the Toyota Tacoma. Debris from the two vehicles hit the Toyota Highlander.
All three occupants of the Toyota pickup truck died at the scene.
Also, the driver of the Mercedes suffered major injuries and he was airlifted to a local hospital. There were no injuries reported in the Highlander.
Investigators are working on the fatal crash on Highway 152, but initial findings do not show alcohol or drugs are a factor.
