Deadly Crash Involving Car and Semi-Truck on 40 Freeway in Ludlow
LUDLOW, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2021) — A fatal Ludlow crash on Needles (40) Freeway happened early Friday morning near Crucero Road.
The deadly crash happened about 3:46 a.m. on Oct. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a semi-truck crashed into a vehicle stalled in the fast lane of the freeway in Ludlow. Subsequently, the vehicle caught on fire after the collision and the semi-truck stopped.
A second semi-truck pulled over on the right shoulder to help the other motorists. Someone called 911 for help and firefighters and police responded to the scene.
Sadly, one person died in the Ludlow crash on the 40 Freeway. Additionally, Roberto Ayala, a friend of the victim, identified the person who died as Roberto Ayala.

Investigators seek to determine fault for the crash.
