 Fatal Madera Crash Yosemite and Vineyard Avenues (Jan. 18) Deadly Crash at Yosemite and Vineyard in Madera

MADERA, Calif. (Jan. 18, 2022) — A fatal, two-vehicle Madera crash happened Tuesday morning at a Madera intersection.

The collision happened about 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 18th at Yosemite and Vineyard Avenues, according to a report by Fox 26 News.

A driver in a van allegedly pulled out in front of an oncoming truck at a stop sign on Vineyard Avenue.

The vehicle crossed directly into the path of the oncoming truck whose driver was unable to stop and collided with the van.

Police say there was a stop sign for the van, but not for the truck.

Investigators report the driver of the van suffered major injuries and died at the scene, Fox News reports.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver of the truck to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Police are heading up an investigation into liability for the fatal Madera crash.
