Semi-Truck Hits Pedestrian in Fatal Crash on Highway 99
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (June 8, 2022) — A fatal Madera pedestrian accident involving a semi-truck happened early Wednesday on Highway 99 in Madera County.
The crash happened about 2:45 a.m. on the southbound Highway 99, just south of the Highway 152 East interchange, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck reportedly struck the victim in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes due to unknown circumstances.
Following the crash, the driver of the semi-truck stopped and called 911 for help and told dispatch operators he hit something.
The age and identity of the man who died is unknown at this time.
