Several Trucks Involved in Crash on state Route Highway 99
MADERA, Calif. (July 25, 2024) — A fatal, multi-vehicle truck accident happened Thursday on Highway 99 between Avenue 9 and Avenue 12 in Madera.
The traffic accident occurred on the northbound State Route 99, just before noon on July 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Several big rig trucks and a sedan were involved in the multi-vehicle collision.
CHP officials reported a red big rig truck went off the freeway near the railroad tracks, but authorities managed to stop all trains to the arear.
Other vehicles were blocking the right shoulder and slow lane of SR-99.
Paramedics responded and confirmed at least one person dead and it’s unknown how many others were injured in the wreck.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the truck accident on Highway 99 in Madera.
