Fatal Crash on Airport Way at Roth Road in Manteca
MANTECA, Calif. (April 1, 2021) — A fatal Manteca crash at Airport Way and East Roth Road early Thursday morning left at least one person dead.
The collision happened about 5:35 a.m. on April 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was involved. The person pulled over to the right shoulder of the roadway. A semi-tractor trailer truck also stopped after the collision.
One person died in the collision, but it’s unknown if they were a pedestrian or in one of the vehicles. Police notified the coroner to respond at 6:02 a.m.
Meanwhile, the CHP report offered very few details about what happened, but information will be released once the report is completed. Mike’s Tow removed at least one of the involved vehicles from the crash site.
The CHP is heading up an investigation into the tragedy.
