2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 33 in Manteca
MANTECA, Calif. (March 22, 2022) — A fatal Manteca crash on Highway 33 happened Tuesday morning near West Lehman Road.
Two vehicles collided about 6:40 a.m. on March 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Hyundai sedan and a white work truck collided due to unknown reasons. The vehicles are both “smashed,” according to the CHP dispatch. One person became pinned in a vehicle. Firefighters responded to extricate the trapped person from the vehicle, but there are no further details.
At least one person died in the collision. There are no further details about the people involved in the Manteca crash on Highway 33.
Two tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Meanwhile, authorities are piecing together evidence and speaking to witnesses about what led up to the crash.
