MARICOPA, California (January 2, 2017) — Per News 23, a deadly crash resulted in a man’s death and injuries to two others Monday afternoon on Highway 33 also referred to as Highway 166 at Hudson Ranch Road.
The incident was logged at precisely 1:06 p.m. when the driver of a Tahoe identified as Ma Hurtado, 37, turned into the path of an oncoming Acura driven by a 65-year-old man.
The two vehicles collided tragically causing fatal injuries to the unidentified 65-year-old man who is confirmed to be a resident of Santa Maria.
His two passengers, Melissa Robbins, 42, and a 12-year-old child were both transported to a hospital. Their conditions were not specified within the updated report.
Per the article, neither Hurtado nor his four passengers were injured in the crash.
California Highway Patrol officials were able to confirm that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the collision.
