Deadly Collision on SR-38/Mill Creek Road
MENTONE, Calif. (Dec. 27, 2024) — A fatal, head-on crash happened Friday morning in Mentone on Mill Creek Road also known as Highway 38 in San Bernardino County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:39 a.m. on Dec. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a red half-ton pickup truck was traveling in the wrong direction when it crashed into a late-model Chevrolet Traverse.
The red pickup truck caught on fire and police and firefighters responded.
At least one person suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on Mill Creek Road in Mentone.
