Semi-Truck Hits Bicycle Rider on Dickenson Ferry Road
MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2021) — A fatal bicycle accident on Dickenson Ferry Road happened Thursday morning near Gurr Road in Merced County.
A semi-truck reportedly struck the bicycle rider about 6:42 a.m. on Oct. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol. Sadly, the person suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the collision.
The CHP reported stated the roadway was completely blocked by the truck following accident.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision, but investigators seek to determine fault for the crash.
Investigators did not release the name, gender or age of the person killed in the collision.
