Deadly Collision on Maze Boulevard (Hwy 132)
MODESTO, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2023) — A fatal Modesto crash happened Thursday morning on Highway 132 also known as Maze Boulevard, just west of Paradise Road.
Three people died in the collision that occurred at around 7:25 a.m. on Sept. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Wyatt Ervin Gordon, 49, was allegedly driving a 2010 Lexus RX350 at high speed. The motorist reportedly swerved to the left and entered the westbound lane where it collided with a Hyundai sedan.
CHP officials reported the Lexus landed in a field and overturned.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured in the crash. Sadly, three people and a dog both died following the accident.
The CHP reported that Wyatt Gordon was the only survivor of the crash. Furthermore, police arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol after the crash.
The westbound lanes were blocked as emergency responders were on the scene and Caltrans set up a detour due to the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Modesto crash on Highway 132.
