Driver in Red Nissan Sought by Police for Deadly Collision
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (August 23, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver happened in Mojave Thursday night on Sierra Highway.
The deadly crash occurred just before 9 p.m. on August 22nd near Belshaw Street, according to KGET News.
The suspect driving a red Nissan sedan reportedly struck the pedestrian and failed to stop. The pedestrian was left in the roadway with fatal injuries. CHP officials say they are searching for the suspect and there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, the Kern County Sheriff-Coroner’s office has not released the gender, age or identity of the person who died in the crash.
