Deadly Crash Prompts Lane Closures on Pomona Freeway in Monterey Park
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (April 28, 2021) – A fatal Monterey Park crash happened Wednesday on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway.
One person died in the Monterey Park crash about 2:10 a.m. near Markland Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
There were no details about what led up to the deadly accident, nor did the report mention if others were hurt.
Police issued a SigAlert about 3 a.m. and closed down all lanes except the No. 5 lane.
The report does not mention the victim’s name, age, or gender.
Police are investigating the cause of the fatal Monterey Park crash and will determine fault.
