Motorcyclist Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision in Lancaster
LANCASTER, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) – A fatal SUV versus motorcycle accident happened on Thanksgiving Day at 20th Street East and Lancaster Boulevard in Lancaster.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station sent deputies to the scene at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23rd after reports of a two-vehicle collision.
Authorities say a woman driving a Ford Explorer SUV and a man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle both entered the intersection at the same time and collided, according to the Antelope Valley Press.
Police determined the motorcyclist tried to avoid the crash but was unable to and collided with the SUV driver. Sadly, the motorcyclist sustained major injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators working on the case do not suspect speed, alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the crash.
However, witnesses are encouraged to call the traffic investigators at Lancaster Sheriff Station at 661-948-8466.
