Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 57 Freeway Near Fullerton
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2024) — A motorcycle rider died in a car accident Friday night on the 57 Freeway at the Imperial Highway on ramp.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash about 10:54 p.m. on Feb. 2nd, 2024 in the Fullerton and Anaheim area.
A driver in a white BMW X3 SUV struck the rider of a green Kawasaki motorcycle in the middle lanes of the freeway and the rider wound up in the No. 3 lane, the report said.
Multiple other vehicles stopped to help those involved and pulled to the right shoulder. Paramedics responded and police issued a SigAlert, but unfortunately the person died at the scene at 11:08 p.m.
The Orange County Sheriff Coroner responded to the scene and investigators are working to determine the victim’s cause of death and liability for the crash.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the bike and the Audi from the scene.
