Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Madera Intersection
MADERA, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2024) — A fatal motorcycle accident happened Tuesday night at Avenue 9 and Road 30 1/2 in Madera.
The head-on collision occurred at around 5:38 p.m. on Feb. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A westbound motorcyclist reportedly crossed into the path of an eastbound black Nissan Altima sedan and the two vehicles collided, according to ABC 30 News.
Bystanders provided CPR to the rider at the scene, but unfortunately the person died at the scene. Authorities say the rider was not wearing a helmet or safety gear. The victim’s name, age and gender were not released.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the rider’s death and transported the driver from the Nissan to Clovis Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the roadway and traffic investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Avenue 9 in Madera.
