Fatal Motorcycle Accident on State Route 138 Near SR-18 in Crestline

Motorcyclist, Ford Mustang Crash on Highway 138
ARROWHEAD, Calif., (May 27, 2026) — A tragic collision involving a motorcycle and a white Ford Mustang GT resulted in a fatality on State Route 138 near the junction with State Route 18 in Crestline.
Johnny Ramirez, Jr., 55, of Fontana, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 3:46 p.m. on May 26th when emergency services were alerted to a crash involving a black motorcycle and a “white Ferrari.” The collision occurred just north of the intersection of SR138 and SR18.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the rider of the motorcycle was run over by the Ferrari, later updated as a Ford Mustang GT. The driver of the Mustang reportedly was in a state of hysteria, initially believing she was on SR18.
Authorities closed the roadway for several hours to conduct a thorough investigation and take necessary measurements. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office was notified at 4:01 p.m. to respond to the scene.
As emergency responders worked to clear the area, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) was requested to implement a hard closure of SR138 at SR18 and Crestline for safety precautions.
The identity of the motorcyclist has been identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as police continue to seek answers.
