Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Ortega Highway
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (Jan. 3, 2025) — A semi-truck and motorcycle were involved in a fatal accident Friday morning on Ortega Highway 74 in San Juan Capistrano.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 33608 SR-74 around 10:46 a.m. on Jan. 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the motorcycle was on fire after colliding with the truck due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured, but unfortunately one person died following the crash.
Police issued a SigAlert for the westbound lanes around 12:28 p.m. due to the investigation and cleanup.
