Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with SUV on Highway 16 Off Ramp

YOLO, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2024) — A fatal motorcycle versus SUV accident happened Wednesday morning at Highway 16 and the 5 Freeway off-ramp, just east of County Road 18 in Yolo.

The traffic collision occurred in a southbound lane of SR-16 at around 10:13 a.m. on Nov. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the rider was hit by a blue Honda CRV due to unknown circumstances.

The Yolo Fire Department responded to help the rider who had major injuries, but the crash was reportedly as a fatality at 10:30 a.m.

Tow trucks removed both vehicles for evidence and investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Highway 16 in Yolo.
