Fatal Motorcycle Collision on I-15 South Near Cajon Scales, San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., (August 7, 2026) — A tragic accident resulted in a fatality on the I-15 Freeway South near the Cajon Scales on Friday afternoon, involving a motorcycle and an unidentified vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol reported the incident on August 7th at approximately 12:58 PM. The motorcycle rider, whose identity has not yet been released, was found down in the slow lane of the freeway after an apparent collision with an unknown type of vehicle. Initial reports suggest that the motorcyclist swerved to avoid another vehicle, leading to a collision with a truck.

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, but tragically, the rider was pronounced deceased shortly after their arrival. The incident caused significant traffic delays as authorities shut down multiple lanes to conduct their investigation and clear debris.
