Motorcyclist Killed in Car Crash at Indio Intersection
THERMAL, Calif., (April 21, 2026) — A fatal collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle tragically claimed a life early Tuesday morning near 59th Avenue and Pierce Street in Thermal, according to incident reports.
The crash occurred on April 21st around 6:03 a.m., involving a sedan and a motorcycle. Responding units arrived on the scene shortly after, with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department dispatching several units to assist with the situation.
Emergency responders quickly confirmed the fatality of the motorcycle rider at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. Additionally, there was reportedly one minor injury resulting from the collision.
The area was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation and the removal of vehicles. Plaza Towing was requested to handle evidence towing for the involved sedan.
