Man, 60, Riding Motorcycle Killed in Car Accident on Highway 46
BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. (April 8, 2024) — A 60-year-old man died Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash in Highway 46, just east of Lost Hills Road in Buttonwillow.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a Chevrolet was heading westbound on Highway 46 behind a motorcyclist. The rider was traveling within the right paved shoulder when they were struck by the vehicle.
Police reported the driver allegedly steered the car toward the rider and hit the back of the bike, The motorcyclist was thrown off and died at the scene.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
