Man Struck, Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Lancaster Area
LANCASTER, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2022) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash at 170th Street East and East Avenue O in the Lake Los Angeles area near Lancaster.
The collision occurred about 5:26 a.m. on Oct. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the man suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Apparently, a driver ran over the victim during or after a motorcycle crash at the intersection. The motorist told authorities they “ran over the male lying in the roadway,” the report said. The CHP report also stated the “male was possibly previously in a traffic collision” as there was “debris and a motorcycle in the roadway as well.”
Authorities closed down the roadway to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
Meanwhile, the identity of the man who died will be released after family members are notified.
