Motorcyclist Killed in Downtown Crash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 8, 2024) – A 40-year-old man riding a motorcycle died Sunday when a driver turned left into his path on Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles.

The deadly collision occurred at 4:12 p.m. Sunday, July 7th at the Los Angeles intersection, the Los Angeles Police Department and MyNewsLA reported.

Authorities reported a driver traveling on Industrial Street turned southbound onto Alameda Street and pulled directly into the path of the man riding the motorcycle. The bike crashed into the vehicle and the motorcyclist was thrown off his bike.

Paramedics responded and transported the injured man to a hospital where he later died from his injuries, the report said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner has not released the rider’s name, pending notification of relatives.
