Fatal Motorcycle Crash on County Road 20 in Orland, Glenn County

GLENN COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2026) — A fatal collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle happened early Friday morning on County Road 20, near the intersection with County Road P in Orland.

The incident reportedly occurred at the intersection on Sept. 4th at approximately 3:50 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle, resulting in the rider’s death. Officers were alerted to the crash after reports of a semi-truck nearly missing the motorcycle at the scene.

Emergency responders, including units from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, arrived shortly after being notified at approximately 3:52 a.m. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.

The details surrounding the cause of the crash remain under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, and they are seeking any witnesses who may have observed the incident.
