Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 190 in Death Valley National Park

Rider Killed in Collision Near Panamint Springs Resort

Death Valley, CA (May 10, 2023) – A 73-year-old man died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 190 on May 6, Saturday.

The Sierra Wave Media News reported the an adult male was riding a motorcycle traveling on SR-190 in Death Valley National Park. In the area between Panamint Springs Resort and Father Crowley Point, the motorcyclist lost control of his bike and slid into the opposite lane.

Our sources indicated the the rider crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

Deadly Traffic Accident on Highway 190 in Death Valley

Shortly after 10:50 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the motorcyclist suffering in serious injuries. Despite life-saving efforts performed by medical personnel, the rider sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal collision that happened on Highway 190 in Death Valley.
