Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash on Skyway
CHICO, Calif. (Sept. 8, 2023) — A fatal motorcycle crash happened early Friday at Skyway Road and Lambert Lane in the Magalia area, just northeast of Chico.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 12:19 a.m. on Sept. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a dirt bike-style bike and a 4-door sedan were involved. the car had “extensive front-end damage” after colliding with the motorcycle due to unknown circumstances.
The Butte County Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene to help those hurt, but sadly one person died following the collision. The victim’s age, gender and identity were not released.
Tow trucks removed both vehicles for evidence and investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal Magalia crash on Skyway Road.
