Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in Redwood Lodge
REDWOOD LODGE, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2024) — A fatal motorcycle crash happened Wednesday morning on Soquel San Jose Road and Old Turnpike Road in Redwood Lodge.
The two-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the southbound lanes of Soquel San Jose Road around 9:42 a.m. on Dec. 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a 2023 Subaru Forester SUV and a blue 2012 BMW motorcycle were involved and both vehicles were towed.
The southbound motorcyclist, a 68-year-old Los Gatos man, reportedly crashed and was run over by the northbound SUV. Unfortunately, the rider died on scene due to major injuries.
CHP officials closed down the roadway in both directions due to the crash and investigation.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the crash.
