Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Woodland Hills on Topanga Canyon
WOODLAND HILLS, California (April 30, 2017) –– A 76-year-old motorcyclist who remains unidentified died Saturday morning in a collision on Topanga Canyon Boulevard at Woodland Crest Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash took place about 11:05 a.m.
Police disclosed that the motorcyclist who has entered the intersection upon a green arrow was struck by a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that had been rear-ended by a 51-year-old driver in a Toyota Sienna.
The pickup truck, which had been stopped and waiting to make a left-hand turn, was pushed into the path of the 2017 Triumph motorcycle ridden by the 76-year-old man causing the motorcyclist to be thrown into the roadway.
Paramedics rushed the injured motorcycle rider to UCLA Medical Center, but he later died of his injuries.
California Highway Patrol officials had stated that nobody had been arrested as of Sunday morning following the wreck.
