TEMECULA, California (April 7, 2017) – A fatal head-on collision took place on Ynez Road Friday, according to The Press Enterprise.
The accident involving a motorcycle was reported just after 5:30 p.m. near Tierra Vista Road.
As per the article, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said a motorcyclist was traveling north on Ynez Road when for an unknown reason the rider veered into the opposing traffic lane.
The operator of the motorcycle collided head-on with vehicle described by deputies as small passenger car. That person was ejected from the bike and died at the scene.
The coroner’s office identified the victim as 29-year-old Thomas Farmer, of North Pole, Alaska.
Meanwhile, the driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
