1 Dead, 4 Injured in Rollover Crash on Interstate 405 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 11, 2018) – Davit Babelyan, 17, died and four others in the Lexus SUV were injured early Wednesday morning in a rollover crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway at the Olympic Boulevard off ramp in West Los Angeles, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 4 a.m. and left the SUV overturned on the Olympic Boulevard off ramp.
Los Angeles firefighters pronounced the teen who had been driving the vehicle dead at the scene, police said. Four people who were in the SUV were hospitalized after the crash. Two men in their 20s were rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and two other people were transported to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, the CHP said.
Police issued a SigAlert for the off ramp until 6 a.m., the CHP report said.
