2-Vehicle Collision on PCH at Crystal Cove
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (July 6, 2023) – One person has died, a second was injured in a collision involving a car and a truck Wednesday on Pacific Coast Highway and Crystal Cove in Newport Beach.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. on PCH in the Crystal Cove area, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
Both drivers suffered injuries in the collision and paramedics transported them to a local hospital. However, the driver of the car later died at the hospital. Police did not provide the age, gender or identity of either motorist.
Meanwhile, the Newport Beach Police Department is heading up the investigation into liability for the collision.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office will identify the name of the person who died after relatives are notified.
