Woman, Dog Killed in Newport Beach Car Accident
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (June 13, 2022) – Donna Wildrick, 60, of Newport Coast, died in a crash Sunday night at San Joaquin Hills Road and Newport Ridge Drive left a woman dead and two critically injured.
Both a woman and a dog were killed in the two-vehicle collision, authorities said.
The crash between a BMW and a Tesla occurred just before 8:05 p.m. on Sunday, June 12th, according to the Newport Beach Police Department. One of the vehicles became engulfed in flames during the crash.
Paramedics and police responded to the scene and located three people critically injured. Donna Wildrick reportedly died following the crash, but they transported two male juveniles from a second vehicle involved to a hospital trauma center with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the Newport Beach Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is heading up an investigation to determine fault for the crash, police said.
