Woman Killed in Crash on State Route 108
OAKDALE, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2023) – An unidentified woman died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 108 on Monday night near Odessa Way in the Oakdale area.
The deadly crash occurred just after 9 p.m. on Sept. 11th, in Stanislaus County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the woman was cross on Highway 108 in a south-to-north direction towards the Oakdale Family Church-Nazarene when she was struck by an eastbound motorist in a Cadillac.
Paramedics responded and found the female pedestrian laying within the left-hand turn lane between the eastbound and westbound lanes of State Route 108, CBS News reports.
She suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver in the Cadillac stopped in the eastbound No. 1 lane and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
