Deadly Crash on I-580 in Oakland
OAKLAND, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2024) — A fatal Oakland crash on the eastbound Interstate 580 Freeway happened Tuesday at the Seminary Avenue off ramp.
The deadly crash occurred at 12:56 p.m. on Sept. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Toyota Prius and another vehicle were involved. The Prius had major damage all over and roughly 50 feet of guardrail was damaged and needed replacement.
The Oakland Fire Department responded and located two occupants from one of the vehicles had “blood on their face,” the report said.
Also, there was at least one person who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
One of the vehicles blocked the Seminary Avenue off-ramp and another blocked the right traffic lane.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Oakland crash on the 580 Freeway.
