Fatal Oakland Pedestrian Accident Highway 13 and Park Boulevard

Man Struck, Killed on Highway 13

OAKLAND, Calif. (July 31, 2023) — A man died in a fatal Oakland pedestrian accident on Highway 13 at Park Boulevard.

The traffic accident occurred around 1 a.m. on July 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver of a black Toyota sedan reportedly struck the victim and pulled over on the shoulder, the CHP reports.

Other vehicles were swerving to avoid hitting the male victim in the roadway.

Meanwhile, an off-duty police officer in a silver Toyota Highlander came upon the scene and blocked the victim from other vehicles with his SUV.

Sadly, the man suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Oakland accident on Highway 13.
