Quad Rider Killed in Car Accident
OAKLEY, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2023) — A person riding a quad was killed in a crash with another motorist Tuesday morning on Neroly Road in Oakley.
The deadly crash occurred around 7 a.m. on Sept. 5th in the 5200 block of Neroly Road, according to the Oakley Police Department.
Police are investigating what led up to the deadly crash
It happened when a person riding a quad along Neroly Road was hit by a vehicle and thrown into a nearby vineyard at Elm Lane.
The driver of the vehicle was apparently unable to see the person and didn’t know if they were injured or had died.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded and located the rider in the vineyard where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Oakley Police Department also responded to began its investigation.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal Oakley crash on Neroly Road.
