Motorcyclist Killed in Oildale Crash
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2022) – A fatal Oildale motorcycle crash happened Thursday night at Roberts Lane and Sequoia Drive in Oildale.
The motorcyclist died in a crash on Roberts Lane and Sequoia Drive in Oildale, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident happened about 7:23 p.m. on Jan. 20th.
The motorcycle and an SUV collided after the rider allegedly failed to stop at a red traffic light. The bike collided with the white Ford Explorer SUV as it was making a turn at the intersection on a green light, authorities said.
Police responded to the crash scene at Roberts Lane and Sequoia Drive where they found the motorcyclist down in the roadway. Sadly, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Finally, investigators are working on the cause of the fatal Oildale motorcycle crash and will determine fault.
