ONTARIO, Calif. (Jan. 4, 2023) — A car and big rig truck were involved in a fatal Ontario crash on the Interstate 10 Freeway early Wednesday morning near Archibald Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes about 3:49 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The semi-truck loaded with 20,000 pounds of cargo blocked the off ramp lane and the Chevrolet Impala came to a stop between the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes following the wreck. It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time.
The Ontario Fire Department responded to the scene to help those involved, but sadly at least one person died following the crash.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash after the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 lanes were closed and subsequent investigation into liability.
