Motorcyclist Killed in Ontario Truck Accident on 60 Freeway
ONTARIO, Calif. (Sept. 8, 2021) — A fatal Ontario motorcycle accident happened Wednesday morning on the 60 Pomona Freeway, just west of Euclid Avenue.
UPDATE: Christian Robinson, 25, of Bloomington, was identified by the coroner as the motorcyclist killed in the Ontario crash.
The collision happened about 6:52 a.m. in the slow lane of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Additionally, a witness told CHP dispatch they saw the motorcycle rider swerve and fall to the ground. A Swift semi-tractor trailer truck ran over him and then pulled over to the right shoulder.
The report does not mention why the rider swerved and fell off the bike. The motorcycle wound up in the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes and the rider remained in the slow lane. Sadly, the motorcyclist died on the 60 Freeway at the scene of the Ontario motorcycle accident.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert due to the collision.
Investigators will determine fault for the collision.
